
Well, after 4 months of training, the time is upon us. We are now less than 24 hours away from the 1/2 marathon, and even the thought of it makes me queasy!
I've spent a lot of time considering the options for how to deceive myself tomorrow. For example, a 3 mile warm-up followed by 2 5-mile runs doesn't sound quite as bad as 13 miles. I've also considered 3 4-mile runs + a one mile cooldown. Or my latest tactic is to try to convinve myself that I'm actually running the full-marathon and then 13 doesn't seem so bad.
My longest run thus far is around 9 miles, so we'll see if I have the stamina to add 4 more onto that (4 plus 9 doesn't sound so appealing - yikes).
So check back in a few days to see how it all turned out!
