And yes, we do now need to make the official transition from calling her Reba to Reba, M.D. YAY for graduating from med school! You rock!
Her first day was spent on the official OC tour which we have perfected down to a science ... Montage, Laguna Beach, Balboa Island, ferry across to the peninsula, usually a quick stop by Fashion Island and a less quick stop by Sprinkles ... what a day! Unfortunately I forgot my camera that day but fun was had by all!! We did capture this moment that night when Reba, M.D. took her Sprinkles icing shot:
Day 2 started with a visit to the San Juan Capistrano mission which I had never actually been inside before (shout out Ryan Holladay ~ thanks for the passes!):
We then drove to San Diego, stopping to see the squirrels near Camp Pendelton:
Then on to the zoo! Now, let the record show, that Reba, M.D. is trying to paint the picture as if I don't like animals or zoos and that I just tolerated it for her sake. This is entirely un-true. I really enjoyed the day ... just coping with additional factors like having to eat about once an hour and having low energy level these days. But don't let her trick you ... it was great!!
I will admit that somehow I just didn't realize all of these years the level of affinity that Rebs, M.D. has for animals. I really thought she might implode from excitement at the childern's petting zoo portion. This about sums it up:
What a great day of animals. We stopped in La Jolla on the way home to see the seals ... what a great ending to a fun day!
Another trip highlight for all of us (including me and Adam) was when Reba got a tattoo! I've never seen one done before so we loved getting to go and watch her suffer! jk ~ she did great!
N8 working hard on the Hebrew:
The finished product:
Some celebratory Pinkberry:
Our final day, we went out to Temecula to visit some wineries. Rebs, M.D. among the vines:
And one of our final stops at RSM lakes to visit the ducks before dinner at El Torito Grill:
Whew! What a trip! Thanks for coming to visit, Rebs! It was so much fun and we're so proud of all of your hard work!!
