Adam was microwaving something and the plate just neatly split down the middle.
I've been so fascinated with it that it's been sitting on our counter for multiple months mostly because I keep meaning to blog about it.
I don't know why it's so interesting. It's just kind of cool. Thought you might want to know.

is that a PB Emma plate? we have those. none of them have done anything crazy like that, but we have several bowls that have chipped in the dishwasher.

mary, this cracked me up - right after i got our set of dishes, 3 of our small plates did this EXACT same thing... they'd do it randomly - i'd just reach up into the cabinet and pull down half a plate! and i kept all of them for months, thinking it was so strange, and yet so cool-looking... i kept trying to come up with an interesting photo to take of them! haha... apparently i'm not the only one who thought it was cool. ;)
very interesting...was it supposed to be microwave safe?
