Come on Down!!

If there has ever been a time that I have needed my blogging friends . . . it is now. I am in desperate need of your wisdom and creativity! Can you help?

You see, a week from today I'm doing something that I've always wanted to do for literally my whole life as long as I can remember . . . going to see the Price Is Right!! I'm not even kidding my heart just started pounding even as I typed that.

My siblings and I grew up watching Price Is Right every summer morning, sick day, school holiday, etc. 10am!! I still love it to this day and so my brother is coming out for his spring break and we got our tickets to go see it!! Ahhhh - I'm so excited.

And I'll be perfectly honest - I'm dying to be a contestant on the show. I know it's a long shot but I really really want to be on it!! And I'm willing to go to extreme measures of personal embarrassment and humiliation to accomplish this goal.

So far my efforts include Tivo'ing episodes of the New Price is Right (with Drew Carey) and casually reviewing prices at the grocery store on products such as instant coffee, tums, ace bandages - and any other product that might show up.

The main thing (and this is where you come in) is that I know I need to think of a great T-shirt idea. I've only had 2 ideas so far and I'm not so sure about them. Are you ready for mad photoshop skillz?

The first was to make t-shirts so that when Adam, Daniel, and me stand next to each other our shirts all spell out DREW. But that would be weird when viewing them individually. What do you think?

My other idea is just to do a classic straightforward I Heart Drew. Here I am spinning the wheel in that shirt.

So what do you think? Any tips for getting on the show? Any brilliant t-shirt ideas? I need your help!

And yes, there will be compensation for anyone who submits a t-shirt idea that lands me in contestant row!!

wow! i am super pumped for you. i loved that show. although, honestly, i think drew carey stinks as the new host. people in college sweatshirts often get to contestant row, and maybe Samford will stick out.

I like what you've got, but im thinking about you wearing white from head to toe and painting yourself like the wheel--you know each section of the shirt and pants is a different section of the wheel--it would look completely ridiculous! Congratulations. Last year I dreamed that I was on the price is right--i didn't want to wake up.

I am still laughing! This is awesome. If you go...you HAVE to get on! I loved sick days too b/c they always equaled the Price is Right. I like Lauren's idea. I think it will get you some attention.

awesome - i heart price is right too. lisa flatt was a contestant on that two summers ago... she said they watch you as you stand in the line to go in and that they were just ridiculous for like 5 hours before they went in, and that then they take you in by groups and kind of interview you... you have to have something that makes you stick out in the interview part too... maybe you should talk to lisa about it

This could possibly the most exciting thing to ever happen to someone I know. What day will you be there? I need to Tivo it.

Ok. I'm dumb. A week from today. In my defense though, I was so excited to read the details that I missed that first detail. Good luck!

I think the shows air on a different day than they are taped, so if there's anything worth seeing, I will definitely let everyone know when to watch!

I think you write "I loved you on The Torkelsons" or "Weren't you the taxi passenger in Coneheads?"

so fun! my sister and a huge group of her friends went their junior year spring break. they wore bright orange shirts that said something like, "i drove all the way from Alabama" or something like that. they didn't get on, but we could see them in the crowd when the show aired! good luck! i love lauren and andrews idea, personally. sorry, i don't have any creative ideas. i don't really have any ideas at all these days...maybe it's the lack of sleep :)
