So much to say

Oh ... where to begin? In an hour and a half, our sweet boy will be 1 week old! What a week it has been! We are everything ... tired, thrilled, overwhelmed, happy, exhausted ... you name it, we've felt it this week. On top of everything, we are mourning the loss of my cousin Tyler who passed away unexpectantly this week. I've never been through such a mix of sorrow and joy all at once. We're definitely still processing everything.

I have lots to say about everything ~ excited to share our birth story and what all has been going on this first week. It's amazing how time has passed so quickly in this blur of nursing, napping, and trying to live life with our new addition!

So I hope to be blogging more soon, but in the meantime I'll just leave you with our latest favorite picture. Elliott has just started smiling momentarily while he's asleep ~ guess he's having some good dreams! Adam caught one precious smile tonight.

Man, I really like that baby!!

Mary, I love the picture. He is so sweet. I have talked to your mom several times to keep up with everything. I am so sorry about Tyler. I pray that God will hold you all in the palm of His hand as you enjoy this new life and deal with the question and grief of Tyler's passing. Can't wait to hear from you. Love, Jinni

So sweet Mary! Now that you are blogging on your non-professional blog, your day- to- day pictures are certainly the envy of all the Mom's out there! What a treat to see such a great shot. That full head of hair is to die for!

Elliott is a beautiful boy! Just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you so much this past week. I know you and Tyler were very close and that you would be unable to attend the service. It was beautiful. You could have been very proud of Weston. What a ROCK he must be to Lisa and Stan. I'm still amazed he had the strength and ability to speak, then SING, during Tyler's service. The church was packed and every comment was a reflection of who Tyler was and the influence he had made. I grieve with you and for you. Of course I know your mom and dad have filled you in on the details. I did get to visit with Anne at the church. Unfortunately I didn't get to see Caroline (even though I wasn't surprised that she wouldn't be there).
