There were so many great moments and characters on the Grammys - JT and Robyn Troupe (did everyone see her get kicked off Idol last night? I'd say that performing at the Grammy's is a pretty good pick-me-up from that!), Carrie Underwood who was just amazing and has come into her own more beautifully than I ever imagined, and Imogen Heap with grass coming out of her hair!! Amazing!! Kudos to Imogen!!

It was a toss up between her and Corinne Bailey Rae for this month's album, but I just couldn't pass up Corinne sitting so sweetly on that barstool just OWNING it with John Mayer and John Legend. What a great performance!
Adam gave me Corinne's self-titled album at the beginning of last summer and it didn't leave my car stereo for about 2 months straight.

She's a little bit of India Arie mixed with a little bit of Norah Jones, and it comes out quite nicely. And it's also currently available on Amazon right now for $7.99 - what a steal!
I think that Corinne has a little something for everyone on this Valentine's Day, so here's the song of hers for you to download, depending on your V-Day relationship status:
In a heated relationship - can't live with or without them but ultimately want to be with them: # 1 - Like a Star
Entranced by someone, often causing you to act beyond your control; you possibly display stalking tendencies: #2 Enchantment
Single, not sure where your life is headed, and totally great with all of the above: #3 Put Your Records On
Just coming out of a relationship gone bad: #4 Till It Happens To You
Still in the denial stages that you are falling for someone: #5 Trouble Sleeping
In love: #6 Call Me When you Get This
Suffering a broken heart: #7 Choux Pastry Heart (**Aside: I just found out that this song was co-written by Teitur, another personal favorite artist - small world!!; I also learned 2 new words from this song - choux and gamine - look them up and use them in a sentence today or in Scrabble to beat your husband for the 3rd night in a row ...)
Wishing that a friendship was more: #8 Breathless
Wanting some new music in your life that is excellent: All of the above!
Happy Valentine's Day from me and Corinne!

LOVE cbr, 37% for her music, but 63% for her style. she's so cute, it makes me want to cut my hair again.
i was thinking how interesting it is that you and adam don't have a joint blog like all of our other married friends. but it might be hard to coordinate tanks with patty griffin. by the way, she is performing on xm radio next week. i can try to find the times if you have it.
i am a comment hog.
hey! don't diss the tanks, yo. i wasted a good 45 minutes yesterday on that game.
have you heard paolo nutini? if you don't love him for his music, at least love him for his name. and his scottish heritage.
